GMCMF ACTIVITIES

WEEKLY ACTIVITIES
Concerts
Faculty concerts are each Friday, and the first two Wednesdays. Student concerts are each Thursday, and Tuesdays as announced.
Student attendance is required.

Master Classes
Each faculty member has a weekly master class which is normally open to all festival students. Guest master classes are attended by all festival participants.

OTHER ACTIVITIES
Religious Services Various services are offered in Burlington, most within walking distance; transportation is provided upon request.

Downtown Trips Trips are regularly scheduled to the historic Church Street Marketplace, eight pedestrian-only cobblestone blocks filled with shops, boutiques, cafes, restaurants, and historic architecture. In April 1997, Burlington received the "Great American Main Street Award" from the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

Hiking Trips

Hiking trips are planned to Mt. Mansfield, Mt. Hunger, and Bolton Falls.
July 4th
The Burlington Independence Day celebration and fireworks attracts thousands of people from around the region.  The fireworks display is viewed from Burlington's famed Lake Champlain waterfront.
Shelburne Museum
One of the nation's finest, most diverse, and unconventional museums of art and Americana.  Over 150,000 works are exhibited in a remarkable setting of 39 exhibition buildings.  (admissions charged)

Trips to Burlington Waterfront

Waterfront trips include the possibility of swimming or canoeing, as well as the Echo Science Center.  (admission charged)
