Senior System Administrator -- Dealer Dot Com, Burlington

Dealer.com is looking for a Senior Systems Administrator to help take their hosting systems to the next level. Work with Linux systems in high availability configurations to achieve increased Availability, Reliability, Uptime and Quality for systems and services. The ideal candidate is goal-oriented, has the ability to handle interruptions while switching between several projects and takes a "work smarter, not harder" approach. The team's ability to produce solid, mission critical systems is reinforced by participating in a paging rotation.

Requirements are:

  • B.S./M.s. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years hands on experience with Unix/Linux
  • 2+ years experience supporting a hosting environment
  • MySQL experience
  • Thorough knowledge of DNA, mail and web server administration
  • Proven ability to tune complex systems
  • Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP networking, load balancers, fail-over services and redundant routing protocols
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex issues under pressure
  • Proven ability to design, deploy and maintain replicated database topologies
  • LDAP/Active directory experience a plus

Technical Solutions Specialist -- Physicians Computer Company, Winooski

PCC's Technical Solutions Team, installs and maintains Linux networks for medical offices and Vermont businesses. The Technical Solutions Specialist performs installation service, provides telephone support, and researches and implements new solutions at the direction of the Technical Solutions Team Leader. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, customer service skills and communication skills. System administration experience including hardware installation and troubleshooting, TCP/ IP Networking, and VPN or other secure high speed remote connectivity desired.
