The Hinesburg/Monkton locals, Anthony Carrico, Jim Carroll, Jim Nellis, and Marc Farnum Rendino kicked off Vermont Hackerspaces with the first event. We choose to do part one of the webcam birdhouse project. We started with the Peterson Bluebird House design, and adapted it to fit the lumber on hand, adding an attic space for electronics. Jim C. and Mark couldn't attend the build, but it turned out to be a good project for two. We built in Tony's workshop.

The birdhouse is complete, but requires a person to physically walk up and pull a pin to view the birds. We're just a bunch of hackers out here in the hills, but we wanted to do our part to get the ball rolling. For part two, we'd love to hand this birdhouse off to Burlington and/or Montpelier to install a webcam and deploy the project.
